Just chanced upon yesterday's paper. I would not even call it 'news'paper since it's just full of crap and advertisements that masquerade as 'news'.
Tonik Hati that offers cure!!!.
The biggest gap here is not the 8o% of the article, which is true but the claimed effects of the said herbs. From treating viral hepatitis to fatty liver and cirrhosis. As if the gap is not enough, they have herb products that can treat HIV infection!! Voila, that's our claim to next year's Nobel Prize in Medicine. As if it's not enough, they have been approved by MOH for said claims and is publicised in a mainstream 'paper'!
I remember a relative of mine used to peddle noni extract tea, with the 'claimed' benefits of treating anything under the sun.The company received a letter from the Pharmaceutical Division, Ministery of Health, to desist or come up with evidence or be fined for false advertisement. Obviously the same division here is still celebrating the recent pay rise and forgot to check on this 21st century snake oil salesman.
Even if he wears a suit with silk tie, he's still a snake oil salesman.
